Swimming Lessons

Last week was my last week of swim lessons. Needless to say, Mom and I are both relieved to be done. I really did not enjoy the lessons themselves. I never wanted to do what the instructor was asking. And as nice as the instructor was, I became annoyed every time she came by to ask me to blow bubbles.

Plus, I had to spend about a hour to an hour and a half in the car for the commute to the YMCA where the lessons were held.

Whew...it's all done for the summer. We learned some excellent safety tips and I thoroughly enjoyed the free play after lessons (especially the water slide).

Here are some photos from my last lesson...

Yes, those are ducks. As soon as we drive up to the YMCA I start saying "ducks".

Getting in and out of the pool was one of my favorite parts.

Yes, that's my friend Joseph and his mom. They were also in our class along with Cooper and his mom. It was nice being there with my friends.

A short video of sliding during lesson time. This was my favorite and we only had it out for the last lesson.

Family Photos from the Reunion

We're at our family reunion - here's a couple photos from last night's dinner at the cabin mountains...

With Grandpa and Great Uncle Ed - who is who? Oh, there's Grandpa!

With the mosquito spray - yikes the mountain "squitos" are big!

People watching...

Leaning in for a kiss from Aunt Terri

I love be surrounded by so many aunts, great aunts, uncles, and great uncles - I am by far the youngest person here! Mom and Dad are the next youngest! Needless to say, I am getting a lot of hugs and kisses!

Building with Friends

Today my friend Joseph came over for a visit. It was so nice to have someone to chase around other than Mom (she gets boring after a while).

We're both really into building with blocks right now. Check us out...

I was just delighted with the end result!

Box Tunnel

Recently I've been a little bored with my toys. Mom and Dad think I'm just growing out of some of them. Thus, Dad pulled out some moving boxes and we've been creative with their uses.

Today one became the perfect tunnel - big enough to fit my airplane!

I Missed It!

I totally missed it - my 200th post. This is my 203rd post! My apologies, it's tough counting this high when you're a toddler!

If you want a finger painted picture I am happy to make one for you in celebration of my 200th post. Otherwise, enjoy this photo...

Play Date This Week...

I started swim lessons this week so I've been a bit preoccupied as has Mom (my new unborn sibling is still causing her problems - I never made her feel this bad). Thus, we have not had much time to get me logged on to post.

Earlier this week I met my friends at a local indoor play gym - WOW! It was the coolest! These are my photos from the play date...

Ready to leave (note my duck cupped under my arm)

There were these giant spheres at the top of the gym - totally overwhelming but so cool!

I'm very into vacuuming these days - and their vacuum worked great.

Turning the stacking rings into bracelets or "bracers" as I call them.

Duck...

By far my favorite word at the moment is "duck" and I LOVE my ducks - we do so many fun things together.

I especially enjoy watching them spin around and around on my ball machine. Check out the video and if your speakers are on you can hear me say "duck".

Happy Independence Day!!!

At the Circus...

A couple weeks ago we went to the circus, compliments of Cooper and his family. It was a first for both Dad and me - he had never been to a circus.

It did cost Dad one snow cone (not for me, for Mom, of course). I was not sure what to make of things but eventually I warmed up to the idea of clowns and people flying through the air.

Finally taking a peak at the trapeze flyers.

Cooper and I were good kids and watched the entire first half happily, and then decided we were done. But sitting for an hour and watching, that's pretty good for a couple of toddlers!

Dad and me with Cooper and his folks.

Thanks, Cooper and co for the fun time!
